Rix Car Audio

My Background

I have successfully designed and installed two complete audio systems for my personal vehicles. I have also rewired and redesigned several systems for fellow car audio enthusiasts.
The first personal vehicle install was in a brand new 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. I brought the car home and completely removed the interior of the vehicle. My father came to look at my new car only to find that I had the front and rear seats, front and rear dash, door panels and many other interior panels sitting on the ground next to the car. (With a little excitement in his voice) He asked me what I was doing to my brand new vehicle? I smiled and responded, "installing a REAL sound system." Like most normal adults in the world he thought I was crazy.

The second was a much-improved system in a 1989 Ford Mustang. I used the head unit and CD changer from my Monte Carlo, upgraded the amplifier and subwoofers, added an amplifier, and purchased new 6x8 and component speakers because my originals would not fit.

I am in the process of designing and purchasing components for my third personal system - see (Rix System Pics). In the third system I plan to add a signal processor, capacitor and considering another amplifier. After the design is complete I will find a vehicle that deserves and can accommodate it.

CAUTION: If you plan to install a system like this it can get expensive$$$$ and very dangerous for your hearing.
